WHO WE ARE
The New England Somaliland Diaspora Association (NESDA) is community-driven organization established in late 2023 by dedicated Somalilanders residing in the New England region of the United States. Based in Boston, NESDA was formed to foster unity, purpose, and action among the Somaliland diaspora, guided by a shared commitment to advocacy, development, and cultural identity.
We serve as a platform to mobilize the diaspora, advocate for Somaliland’s recognition, and contribute meaningfully to its long-term progress through collaboration, education, and community empowerment.

To advocate for the international recognition of the Republic of Somaliland and to actively support its democratic, economic, and social development by engaging the diaspora, building partnerships, and advancing strategic initiatives

To cultivate a strong, connected, and empowered Somaliland diaspora that preserves its cultural identity, uplifts one another, and actively contributes to the progress and prosperity of Somaliland.
We envision a community that is proud of its heritage, successful in its pursuits, and united in building a brighter future both in the United States and in our homeland.
